Ocean Jasper

About the Crystal

Ocean jasper is a type of jasper that is known for its distinctive pattern of orbs, swirls, and other abstract designs. It is a relatively rare stone that is found only in a few locations along the northwest coast of Madagascar.

Ocean jasper is formed from volcanic activity, where lava flows and ash deposits solidify over time. The unique patterns in the stone are created by pockets or voids in the rock that are filled with mineral-rich solutions. As the solutions crystallize, they create the orbs and other designs that are characteristic of ocean jasper.

The colors of ocean jasper can vary widely, and may include shades of white, green, pink, red, yellow, and brown. Some specimens also have black or dark grey inclusions that contrast with the lighter colored background.

In addition to its aesthetic qualities, ocean jasper is believed to have a variety of metaphysical properties. It is said to be a stone of joy, positivity, and inner peace, and is often used in crystal healing to help relieve stress and promote emotional balance. It is also believed to enhance one's ability to communicate and express themselves clearly and effectively.
